Week 1: Best of Me

We started the Summer Reading Program learning about diversity. We learned that everyone is unique and important.

We read the book All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold

Week 2: Our Great State

We had the opportunity to hear about Cherokee history in our great state.

Week 3: Me in My Community

This week we learned about the people in our community that make it a great place to live. We had a special visit from our community bakers from Kaylee's Candy Company. They brought yummy cookies for everyone to enjoy!

We read two books this week! They were The Circles All Around Us by Brad Montague and This Story is Not About a Kitten by Randall De Sève.

Week 4: The World Around Me

To close the Summer Reading Program, we talked about how we are all special and we should all try to be friendly with each other, no matter our differences.
